Willoughby partnered with PMNCH (The
Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child
Health) in Geneva to design and implement a
global branding and marketing movement to
support Deliver Now, unveiled during the Clinton
Global Initiative annual meeting in 2007. This
initiative would advance Millennium Goals 4
& 5 and improve maternal health and reduce
childhood mortality. This was, remarkably, the
first time infant mortality had been connected
to maternal health as a result of studies that
showed that mothers who get the care they
need, will better care for their babies. In 2015,
PMNCH reported that maternal mortality was
reduced by 44% and, in turn, under-five mortality
was reduced by more than 50% worldwide.
Willoughby’s campaign was launched in Bryant
Park and at the United Nations in New York.
